Hanby Street Reserve playground is set within an idyllic, leafy park lined with formal avenues of mature specimen trees and open lawn spaces.
Working closely with the team at Bayside Council, our team developed a concept plan and subsequent construction documentation for the proposed upgrade to Hanby Street Reserve.
The design response carefully sites new play equipment and general layout to retain the mature existing trees and compliment the distinctive, formal character of the park. The equipment installed features timber framing, climbing elements, slides and swings with a splash of seaside blue. The materials including the bluestone garden edging and use of timber have been deliberately selected to achieve a subtle scheme which matches the existing detail in the broader park and integrate the new play space with the setting.
