The Bullen Park Sports Upgrade is a major investment in local sporting facilities by Development Victoria as part of the North East Link project which is located to the east of the site. The landscape is located on the banks of the meandering Yarra River in Bulleen in Melbourne’s north eastern suburbs on Wurundjeri country.
The project scope includes 2 new pavilions and associated landscape works, 3 upgraded sports ovals and associated lighting and infrastructure, new indigenous tree and understory planting and site revegetation works, an upgraded and relocated playground and picnic amenities and a carpark.
RDLA were engaged as the Landscape Architects on the project by Built Environs as part of a broader project design team including Architects Williams Ross and Engineer MCG Consult. The project has undergone extensive stakeholder consultation and our team have assisted throughout the process in addition to the preparation of schematic design and construction documentation.
Construction has commenced on site and the project is scheduled for completion late 2027.
